The start of a relationship with a new client is always an exciting time, as we quickly get to grips with their communication needs and ways of working, and delve under the skin of the brand itself. It’s always an absolute pleasure when agency and client fall quickly into step, and soon can’t remember ever working without each other! Such was the case with M&P and leading kitchen retailer, Magnet.
Following the production of several video and creative internal comms projects, to support the delivery of the business strategy throughout 2022, and a suite of communications for Store Support, we began work on the Winter Conference 2022.
Providing logistics, production, content and creative services for the Conference, we were able to use our full range of services and expertise to help Magnet bring their event to life. Held just before the client’s crucial Peak trading period, the event aimed to engage, motivate and inspire store management teams, to ensure they operated at their best during this busy time.
Planning began several months in advance, with the historic Kimpton Clocktower hotel secured as the event venue. A stunning hotel, in the heart of Manchester, the Kimpton is a beautiful setting, but with a maze of stairways and corridors to negotiate – not to mention a tricky load-in for a full plenary set, AV equipment, breakout support and a large Product Expo – our Production and Logistics team had to ensure the practicalities were in place, before the Content & Creative teams could unleash their talents!
Working in close collaboration with the client, we created an event identity to compliment the business strategy that we had visually brought to life earlier in the year. Working with a client throughout the year really helps us to create joined-up, consistent communications that flow beautifully. It’s our Content & Creative team’s favourite way of working.
Supporting the delivery of key messages in a creative environment, is what our Production team prides itself on, and nothing was left to chance with the set, stage and technical solution. A huge 7 x 4m LED screen super-charged the event content, and supported presenters in the delivery of their key messages.
We love to give our presenters the chance to shine, providing them with an opportunity to talk to their teams, in a dynamic, on-brand environment, with first class content and creative video produced to support their communications.
The evening session was creatively inspired by the event theme, with a winter wonderland gala dinner and awards. Delegates enjoyed a 3 course gala dinner, and an amazing awards ceremony, before a DJ and live band led the party into the small hours.
M&P quickly gained knowledge of our brand and culture to become a seamless extension of our internal team. From creative direction to detailed logistics planning, the team is not only a joy to work with but provides total confidence in their ability to deliver a fantastic event experience. Video production, staging direction, entertainment sourcing, complete AV solution, and the delegate experience were all considered and delivered in a quality way to create the right event experience. It was reassuring to have a team to trust that was in total control of every element, big and small.
